Tendering - The Buyer's Perspective
In a previous article, we provided your feedback to buyers. This time it’s the turn of the buyers to offer their insights to you:
1. Read and follow the instructions provided in the request for tender document, particularly abiding by word/page count limits.
2. Format the tender document clearly, making it easy for the buyer to navigate.
3. Answer all questions and address all of the requirements from the request for tender – omitting questions results in low scores.
4. Use relevant reference sites to prove your experience in providing similar solutions.
5. When proposing a team for a project, use the actual team that will deliver the project, not a generic organisation structure.
6. Submit the finished tender to the right place, on-time, appropriately packaged
We recommend that you follow this buyer feedback to maximise your chances of tendering success!
